THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Q: How can you avoid spotting a wrinkle every time you walk by a mirror?
A: The next time you're in front of a mirror, take off your glasses.
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Being a child of God means wonderful things!
Notice our Scripture says we are first, "children of God."
If you have trusted Christ, and have surrendered your life to Him, then you are a "child of God."
That means two MORE wonderful things.
You are an "heir of God."
Being an heir of God means that you share EVERYTHING God has to offer.
And you are a "joint-heir with Christ."
That means He is allowing you to share all things that God has put in His power.
And God has put ALL things in His power!
Jesus is the rightful heir to ALL things God has.
But He is willing to SHARE all things with YOU!
Just think about it: The pearly gates, the streets of gold, the shining river, the tree of perpetual fruit, one never-ending day, and the indescribable glory of heaven is YOURS through Christ!
We must remember though, that we are heirs in ALL THINGS!
Christ suffered for our sins.
He suffered so that mankind could have redemption.
And we too, must take the WRINKLES with the GLORY!
It is true, "without a cross, there can be no crown!"
Note what Paul says in verse 18 of this same passage: "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."
PRESENTLY we suffer the agonies of physical life.
So what’s a few wrinkles in this life?
After we have passed from this life we shall inherit GLORY!
Ain't God GOOD?
