(Thanks to Sonya for this one.)

She was eating lunch with her 8-year-old granddaughter.
To test her, she asked, “What holiday falls on Feb. 20th?”

Granddaughter, “That’s President’s Day!”

Thinking, “This is a bright child,” she further asked, “What does President’s Day mean?”

Granddaughter, “That’s when the President comes out of the White House.
And, if he sees his shadow, we have one more year of unemployment!”

You know, it hurts when you spurt coffee out of your nose!

2 Peter 3:18
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Heaven is a gift to those who surrender to Jesus as Lord.
In heaven we will praise God “for ever!”

Today is also a gift to those who have surrendered to Jesus as Lord.
And, we should praise God “now!”

The mystery of God’s love, exemplified in the cross, is etched in our hearts.
The wonder of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead is inspiration to our souls.
The joy of knowing His forgiveness and acceptance yields peace beyond understanding.

We, who are bought with His blood, should make our life’s purpose to give “glory” to God!

Therefore, let us “grow” in Christ!
Grow in the realization that all we have from God comes through Christ.
Grow in the knowledge of Him written in the Word of God.

Grow in Christ so that you can give more “glory” to Him “now!”
THIS is what salvation means while we are on earth!

Love ya!
