THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

A thought to consider:

Prov 21:2
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
KJV

Hag 1:9
Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it.
Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
KJV

We are debtors, first, to God: for His love, mercy, grace and goodness.

Why is it the giving soul most often has more than enough;
but the selfish soul has trouble meeting obligations?
Because God “pondereth the hearts!”

Do we really believe it is our vast governmental economic policies that will save our nation?

My friends, it ALL comes back to the people of Jesus Christ!!
God determines the national state upon the exhibition of faith in HIS PEOPLE!
2 Chron 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
KJV

Selfishness looks first at home, but godliness seeks “first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.” (Matt. 6:33)

One thing we should learn, dear Christians:
Neglect of the things of God restrains the flow of His marvelous grace!

Let us earnestly humble ourselves before God.
Let us genuinely pray for His mercy and grace.
Let us seek FIRST His purposes.
Let us TURN from selfishness.
THEN: God will HEAR, FORGIVE, and HEAL!

Love ya!
