Standing in front of a shredder with a piece of paper in his hand,
"Listen," said the CEO, "this is a very sensitive and important
document, and my secretary has left.
Can you make this thing work?"
"Certainly," said the young executive.
With confidence, he turned the machine on,
inserted the paper, and pressed the start button.
"Excellent, excellent!" said the CEO as his paper disappeared
inside the Shredder machine. "I just need one copy."
26 In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence:
and his children shall have a place of refuge.
27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life,
to depart from the snares of death.
LIGHT from the WORD.
The "fear" of the LORD is genuine reverence for Him and His
leadership in our lives.
The Christian KNOWS where he is going!
He may not know WHEN, but he knows he's going to be with
the Lord at the end of his physical life.
This confidence leads to children receiving the same knowledge.
And that knowledge helps them to live a life of hope rather than a
life of disarray.
It becomes a "fountain of life" to children and grandchildren.
Living in Christ, also delivers a person from the "snares of death."
The Christian fears sinfulness because of the consequences.
That keeps him/her from the "snares of death."
And the ultimate end of the Christian is to find REAL LIFE with Christ!
Have awesome reverence for the LORD!
