I remember a crusade we were having here in Columbia.
Bro. Joe Senn was preaching one night.
There was a lady on the side, "signing" for those who couldn't hear.
All of a sudden, Bro. Joe stopped.
He looked at the lady and asked, "Would you please show me the
international sign of complete surrender?"
1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry
and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory,
so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
LIGHT from the WORD.
Do you ever feel "dry" in your spiritual life with God?
There are many reasons why we sometimes have "dry spells"
in our faith.
Perhaps we have grown too independent, trying to accomplish things
in our own power.
Perhaps difficult circumstances have surrounded us.
Perhaps we have become so involved in the activities of religion
that we have forgotten to maintain our personal relationship with God.
Like David, when our soul comes to "a dry and thirsty land,"
we need to "seek" God!
He is "living water"!(See John 4:10)
When you find yourself in "the wilderness" of a "dry and thirsty" time,
Remember where God first found you!
You were down on your knees in total surrender,
pleading for His forgiveness!
It was THERE you found LIVING WATER!
"Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts..."
