THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
My friend & I were running on the track.
All of a sudden, he yelled, "Let's run the steps!"
Then, he started up the steps of the grandstand.
So, I followed.
But, I was looking at him.
I stumbled and fell.
Hate those short "trips!"
Lesson, watch your steps!
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD:
and he delighteth in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down:
for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
Light from the Word.
This week, I've been writing about "delighting" in the Lord.
When a person delights in the Lord, then the Lord "orders"
Well, one might ask, how shall a person whose steps are
"ordered by the LORD" "fall"?
Solomon said, in Eccl 3:1 & 4,
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every
purpose under the heaven:
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn,
and a time to dance;
God orders the steps in FAITH.
That means we will be facing difficulties, but our faith will help
Those difficulties are there to show us that faith WORKS!
A "good" man will desire to do God's will in his life, and the Lord
will guide him in the ventures of his life.
When he stumbles, God (by faith) will pick him up, dust him off,
and send him the right way.
We lose jobs, have accidents, lose loved ones.
But if we genuinely "delight" ourselves in the Lord,
He is always there to help!
