How many times in the last few weeks have I heard, "It's SOOO HOT!"

And lately it has been so hot here that:
The birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.
Hot water now comes out of both taps.
You learn that a seat belt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron.
You realize that asphalt has a liquid state.
Farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying boiled eggs.
The cows are giving evaporated milk.

Rev 20:10-15
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire . This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Lately, here in Columbia, Louisiana, it's been about 97 degrees, but with the humidity, we have a heat factor of 103 degrees!
Sometimes I have to console myself with the thought that only a couple more months and the heat will subside.

A few days ago, I drove by our church, and the precious lady who keeps good thoughts on our outside sign had this statement posted:
Not new, but as I drove by, it made me think of our blessings as Christians.

Those who have confessed Jesus as Lord, and surrendered to His Lordship of their lives have their names written in the book of life. But those who haven't - don't!
And those will face a SECOND death - a death which is eternal in existence.

Yes. There will be a resurrection of all flesh.
Their bodies will be joined with their spirits, and they will face Christ at the great white throne.
Those who haven't confessed sin and begged forgiveness will face that final judgment of what we call HELL!
A flaming, burning, lake of fire in which they will exist forever in torment.
That heat will NEVER subside!

But the GOOD NEWS is: those who have surrendered to Christ will find that their sins are all washed away by "the blood of the Lamb," and their guiltiness will be whisked away by His command!

Christians, praise God that though you are guilty of His blood, you are washed clean by that same blood according to your profession of faith in Him as your personal Lord and savior!

Christians, praise God that your name can never be blotted out of the Lamb's "Book of Life!"

Christians, praise God that, because of what He has done for you, you will be able to live in HEAVEN!
And it's NEVER hot there!

Love ya!
