We have a great-grandson that's not yet 2 yrs. old.
He comes up to me, and holds his little arms up,
wanting me to pick him up.

When I bring him up to my chest, he hugs me tight
by locking his arms around my neck.

So, I put my arm under his bottom and hold him up.

Now, if I did not continue to HOLD him, he would soon
become weak and fall away, because he is too young,
and unable to cling to me very long.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life.

LIGHT from the WORD.

John 3:16 is probably the most well-known verse of
Scripture there is.

Some say it is the "Little Bible" because it sums up so much
about salvation.

Let's key in on that word believeth for a moment.
It comes from the Greek word pisteuo, and means:
to entrust oneself to, commit trust to.

To me, that means to CLING to Christ!

But, like my great-grandson, we are too weak as humans to
continue clinging to Christ for very long.
We are spiritually weak because we are sinners.

Therefore, Christ HOLDS us!!
If God did not HOLD ONTO us, we could not have that gift
which is EVERLASTING!!

Thank God, Jesus is able to KEEP what we COMMIT to Him!
(See 2Tim. 1:12 and Jude 24)

Daily RUN to Christ with your arms UP, COMMITTING yourself
to Him!
And, He will HOLD ONTO you!!

Ain't God GOOD?!?!?!

Love ya!
