THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
I was shocked, confused, bewildered
As I entered Heaven's door
Not by the beauty of it all
By the lights or its decor.
But it was the folks in Heaven
Who made me sputter and gasp
The thieves, the liars, the sinners
The alcoholics, the trash.
There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice
Who never said anything nice.
Uncle Bill, who I always thought
Was rotting away in hell
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine
Looking incredibly well.
I nudged Jesus, "What's the deal?
I would love to hear Your take
How'd all these sinners get up here?
God must have made a mistake."
"And why is everyone so quiet
So somber? Please give me a clue."
"Hush, child," said He. "They're all in shock
No one thought they'd see you!"

1 Peter 4:18
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the
ungodly and the sinner appear?
Light from the Word.
The word "scarcely" in the above Scripture is translated from the Greek molis.
It means with difficulty, or with much work!
Have you ever given thought to how much WORK has gone into your salvation?
Have you ever thought about how DIFFICULT it was for God to save you?
1st, there is the fact that "all have sinned," (Rom. 3:23)
All are sinners: nasty, filthy, steeped in sin before God.
2nd, there is the fact of God making a PLAN for your salvation.
He had to sacrifice His "Only begotten Son!" (John 3:16)
3rd, there is the fact that God had to PREPARE you to receive salvation.
He had to look down through time, beforehand, to plan the person
or circumstances which would lead you to Christ.
4th, there is the fact that God would have to RESCUE you continually
from the enemy who is always "seeking whom he may devour!"
He does that by giving the saved His Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38) to continually
comfort them, and always warn them in conscience.
Without the immaculate pre-planning of God, NONE could be saved!
Even WITH the pre-planning, many WILL NOT be saved!
You might be SURPRISED who will be in heaven.
So, treat ALL with kindness!
YOU may be part of God's plan to lead someone to Christ.
And, YOU may be part of God's plan to comfort and teach those who are saved.
